Simply Red play Delamere Forest

Simply Red’s frontman Mick Hucknall, who will be performing with the band at Delamere Forest in July. 

ONE of the most popular bands of the past 25 years, Simply Red, have announced that they will be performing in Delamere Forest next summer as part of the Forestry Commission Live Music scheme.

Fronted by Mick Hucknall, a catalogue of hit singles like ‘Holding Back The Years’, ‘Something Got Me Started’ and ‘If You Don’t Know Me By Now’ have established Simply Red’s superstar status across the globe.

Albums like ‘Picture Book’, ‘A New Flame’, ‘Stars’, ‘Blue’ and ‘Home’ formed part of the record collection for a whole generation.

As part of a series of forest gigs, Simply Red will perform at Delamere Forest, Delamere, near Chester, on Friday, July 2.

Frontman Mick Hucknall said: “It is a fantastic experience for a band to play in these unique settings.”
