MORE than 850 jobs and £20 million will be pumped into Chester’s economy this summer, say racecourse bosses.
Hundreds of potential employees are being urged to come forward to take up jobs at the Roodee racecourse with a total price tag of more than £1 million. The crucial boost to the local economy comes as part of Chester Race Company plans to deliver a summer-long programme of events, race days and festivals.
An open day will be held at the racecourse next month and residents in and around Chester are being called upon to take up the temporary catering and events organising posts.
