Thriller Live tickets are your passport to a thrilling theatre experience. Featuring the songs of the late, great Michael Jackson, Thriller Live is an amazing live song and dance spectacular.

This fast-paced, exciting two-hour concert is a fitting tribute to the King of Pop. Intended to celebrate an awe-inspiring career which spanned 40 years, Thriller Live is packed with non-stop hits.

Songs including I Want You Back and ABC will take you back to Michael’s Jackson Five days. From their first big hit, I Want You Back in 1968, the Jackson Five were an unstoppable force.

Made up of brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and little Michael, the Jackson Five had four US number one singles; their success as a group made Michael the youngest artist to ever record a number one.

Due to his stunning vocals on songs such as Rockin’ Robin’, young Michael was the breakaway star of the group, and he went on to have his own number one hit at the tender age of 14 with film theme tune Ben.

After that there was no stopping Michael Jackson and throughout his career he certainly came a long way from singing about his pet rat.

The Off the Wall album in 1979 was when Michael really started having hit after hit, and part one of Thriller Live features the number one songs from this album, Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough and Rock with You.

Part two of Thriller Live features Michael’s later hits of the 80s and 90s. From his iconic Thriller album there’s the up tempo Wanna Be Starting Something, Beat It and Billie Jean, as well as the title song of the album and the musical, the infamous Thriller track.

Jackson’s Thriller album is by far the best selling album in the world, with an estimated 120 million copies sold. Its nearest competitor, Back to Black by AC/DC, sold 49 million worldwide, which gives some indication of the runaway success of the Thriller album.

The Thriller album spent 37 weeks at number one in the US billboard chart and the title song sold over 50 million copies worldwide.

The King of Pop was also the king of dance, and dance obviously features heavily in the Thriller Live show. A real highlight is the ghoulish Thriller dance that is well known the world over.

After Thriller, Michael’s next huge album was the Bad album; released in 1987 it was the album that amassed Michael the most hits. Bad is the only album ever to have five US number ones, and it won Michael two Grammy Awards.

Songs from the Bad album that feature in Thriller Live include the beautiful and gentle I Just Can’t Stop Loving You, as well as popular hits The Way You Make Me Feel, Dirty Diana, Smooth Criminal, Man in the Mirror and, of course, the title track Bad.

Thriller Live is a spectacular concert-style show featuring Jackson’s best loved songs and most iconic dance choreography. It is two hours of non-stop Jackson hits, and a celebration of a 40-year musical career.

During his career Michael sold a staggering 750 million records worldwide, and his albums continue to sell after his death. Timeless and ageless, his songs have a universal appeal and Thriller Live is a new way for Jackson fans to experience the magic of Michael.

Aside from his staggeringly successful musical career, Michael Jackson also kept us entertained with his eccentricity. Known for wanting to remain ever young and child-like, Jackson likened himself to Peter Pan and lived on a vast ranch which he named Neverland.

The Neverland Ranch was Michael’s home and personal playground, and the grounds contained such wonders as a floral clock, petting zoo, railroad and fairground.

Attractions at Jackson’s fairground included a Ferris wheel, carousel, octopus ride, pirate ship, super slide, roller coaster and bumper cars. The public can now experience many of the Neverland rides as they are now featured attractions at the California State Fair.

Another eccentricity of Michael’s was his love of unusual pets. During his lifetime he had many odd pets such as his boa constrictor Muscles, two llamas named Louis and Lola, a ram named Mr Tibbs, a pet python which he called Crusher and many spiders, including a tarantula which once bit him on the ankle.

Michael’s zoo at the Neverland ranch was home to even more exotic animals including a lion and an elephant.

Of course, Michael’s most famous pet was Bubbles the chimpanzee. Widely reported to have been rescued by Michael from an animal research facility, Bubbles became a very close friend of the king of pop.

Michael took Bubbles along on his Bad world tour and the chimp slept in a crib beside his master’s bed. Bubbles was even present during recording sessions, at Michael’s insistence.

Despite, or perhaps because of, his quirks, Michael Jackson was a musical trailblazer. As well as his immense success as a songwriter and singer, Michael Jackson also paved the way for black artists in many ways.

For example, Billie Jean was the first video by a black artist to air on MTV. Michael said it himself in his 1991 hit It Don’t Matter if You’re Black or White.

His other great personal success was his humanitarian work. Listed in the 2000 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records as holding the record for Most Charities Supported by a Pop Star, Michael devoted a lot of time, and donated a lot of money to many charities.

As well as many children’s charities, Michael also supported a great many other causes included aids, cancer, diabetes, minority aid and sickle cell research. In total, Michael is thought to have supported at least 40 charities.

Some may remember him for his charity work, some for his oddities, however, everyone remembers Michael for his music.

Let Michael Jackson’s music speak for itself with a trip to see the immense and thrilling musical experience that is Thriller Live.
