A WOMAN has been given the Gok treatment for a new look.

Nicola Ashcroft, 20 from Rhyl, was recently given a makeover from famous fashionista Gok Wan after being picked out of hundreds of applicants by Reveal magazine.

Paula Jones, deputy editor, said: “Nicola got the star treatment after sending in her picture to Reveal magazine, where Gok has a weekly fashion column. She was one of 12 women from all corners of the UK who were whisked to London where they each got a style makeover from the fashion master.”

Ms Jones, who is originally from Rhyl and attended Blessed Edward Jones High said that each of the chosen models took on a different fashion theme.

She said: “Nicola has gorgeous Celtic and Mediterranaen colouring which meant she was a natural choice for this week’s column about summer’s new bright colours.”

Nicola, who is a receptionist in her day job, featured in last week’s glossy gossip magazine.

She said: “I loved getting my hair and make-up done, it felt so glamorous. Gok was lovely, so relaxed - he really put me at ease and gave me great advice. My favourite outfit was the orange dress - I loved the fabric and I felt amazing in it!”
