THE CELEBRATED Ymuno music festival is returning to North Wales after a successful debut.

With its new home at Bryn Ffanigl Ganol Farm in Abergele, the three-day event is set to be a must for festival fans looking for a more relaxed and intimate affair.
The Welsh word Ymuno eludes to a coming-together, being a part of something and joining-in.

Drawing on funk and folk sensibilities - with other genres thrown into the mix - the event caters for music lovers who want to enjoy established acts while discovering new music.

The festival is lead by a local cooperative who are hoping to build on the success of their first event last year at Hendre Hall in Bangor.

With many visitors to the inaugural Ymuno already signed on to return, demand is high. But tickets are extremely limited with only 450 up for grabs in a bid to maintain the principles of the Ymuno festival: a warm and friendly, immersive music experience for like-minded people to come together and have fun.

And families looking for a safe and cosy experience are also welcome.

Like any festival, it is the music which is the key, and Ymuno has already lined up an enviable selection of acts.

The energetic Middleman will be kicking off the weekend on Friday night - bringing their bouncy mix of ear-catching tunes in the process - with the haunting beauty of Foy Vance confirmed for Saturday.

With plenty more to enjoy over the weekend including artistic and film displays, swap the crowded and impersonal super-festivals for a music experience like no other at this year's Ymuno.

  •  The Ymuno festival will be held at Bryn Ffanigl Ganol Farm in Abergele between July 1-3. For more information or to book tickets visit the website at http://ymuno.com/festival
