A BODY matching the description of missing teenager Hayden Mark Evans has been found.

Police search teams found the body in a lake at Carden Park Hotel near Chester on Friday.

No formal identification has taken place but police believe it to be the body of Mr Evans.

The 18-year-old from Mold, has been missing since a Christmas party at the hotel two weeks ago

A post mortem is to be carried out today (Saturday, December 31).

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “The body matches the description and clothing of the missing teenager from North Wales Haydn Mark Evans, although a formal identification has not yet taken place.”

At this stage of the investigation police are saying there are no suspicious circumstances.

Cheshire Police had conducted a massive man hunt for Haydn since he disappeared from the hotel, near Chester at 1am on Saturday December 17.

Haydn’s family had appealed for his safe return and last week his distraught mother Lynsey Bell, of Coedpoeth, Wrexham, said she felt “helpless” since his disappearance.

Hayden had been celebrating with his colleagues from MPH Construction of Mold.
