A PUBLIC inquiry has been held into proposals to build a wind farm on the outskirts of Chester.
Councillors and residents turned out in their droves to a public inquiry into Peel Energy’s plans to build 19 wind turbines on Frodsham Marshes.
They raised concerns about the impact on the health of children and elderly residents, as well as the effect on much-loved views for residents.
At the inquiry residents voiced fears about a potential increase in accidents on the M56 due to drivers being distracted by the moving blades.
A threat to the lives of hundreds of birds, limited TV reception and an affect on house prices in Helsby and Frodsham were also raised.
The public inquiry closed on Wednesday, December 21, and the inspector’s decision is expected to be published later this year.
