Spate of opportunist burglaries in Ellesmere Port and Neston

OPPORTUNIST burglars have struck at several spots around Ellesmere Port and Neston.

Cheshire Police have reported a spate of break-ins in the area in which several hundreds of pounds worth of goods have been stolen.

On Wednesday, January 27, during the early morning, an offender broke into a terraced home by climbing into a garden and using unknown implement to force open a small window leading into the kitchen.

A laptop and a purse were stolen during the raid.

A bungalow and a garden shed were broken in to on Bendee Road, Little Neston on Thursday, January 28, between 2.30pm and 3.30pm. The offender used a spade stolen from the shed to smash a window in the ground floor bedroom and stole cash after making an untidy search of the house.

A charity shop was hit by burglars on Chester Road, Little Sutton, over the weekend of Saturday, January 23.

A ground floor window was smashed and thieves ransacked the shop and office before stealing a quantity of cash.
