A TOWN mayor has given a much-needed to cheque to help Chester-based boxers.
After a year fundraising Cllr Ann Lloyd, Mayor of Saltney, presented a cheque - the amount of which has not yet been revealed - to Deva ABC boxing club, in Saltney. Cllr Lloyd said: “It gives me great pleasures to present this cheque for such a worthy cause, the boxing club are travelling down to the Welsh junior boxing championships in Cardiff and this will help some way towards their travel costs.”
