FIERY television chef Marco Pierre White blazed a trail to his Chester steakhouse, bar and grill for an exclusive luncheon and evening soiree.
John Barnes and his wife Andrea were among guests who attended the evening event at Doubletree by Hilton, Hoole, Chester.
Guests were treated to a red carpet welcome, bellini cocktails and canapés, followed by a three-course menu that featured the chef’s steak of choice, a fillet of Ridings reserve beef.
Marco Pierre White socialised with his guests and was on hand to sign copies of his book, Great British Feast, to the delight of diners.
Marco said: “I’m really thrilled with my MPW steakhouse, bar and grill and I’m thoroughly enjoying my visit to Chester. It’s so important to meet and chat with local diners. They’re the people that really matter and their opinion is very important to me.
“I have endeavoured to create a romantic setting that is perfect for friends and family to enjoy. It’s all about the experience and I feel that my affordable glamour vision has been achieved through the decor and unpretentious menu.
“The reason I chose the North West for my latest ventures is not only because the region has some exceptionally talented chefs, although that is part of it, but also on the recommendation of my close friend Francis Carroll. Francis is based in Cheshire and I am confident that he will make sure that my high standards are maintained.”
Francis Carroll, brand and development manager for MPW north west, said: “The launch of Marco Pierre White steakhouse, bar and grill has been a fantastic success. The team are doing a great job and the guests have thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere, which is what it’s all about.
“Marco is a good friend and inspirational person. He has an unfaltering respect for produce and he makes sure that his chefs and staff treat the food with the same standard of reverence.”
