Fashion guru Gok Wan heads for Wrexham

FASHION guru Gok Wan will be visiting Wrexham this weekend, seeking the region’s worst dressed person.

People from across North Wales and Chester are being invited to the Memorial Hall in Bodhyfryd, Wrexham, from 9am on Sunday to see the fashion expert in action as part of his new series, Gok’s Fashion Fix.

The Channel 4 style star is on a mission to banish the nation’s wardrobe disasters and is travelling round the country to find the woman or man who needs his help the most.

Wrexham has been chosen as one of six mid-sized towns to visit and Gok is at the ready to answer your fashion.

He is inviting people to bring as much from their wardrobe as they can manage and show him their sartorial disasters.

Gok will select the worst dressed person to receive a makeover.

The day will also feature figure fixing, mini makeovers and a collective wardrobe clearout.

Roland.... Hope you realise that Wrexham is on the up and up.... I mean two nearly famous people that nobody has heard or relly cares about.... Peter Hain and now Gok know where we are... WOW !!....the possibilities are endless

Umm, nearly famous person who no-one has of or really cares about? Are you actually alive? This is Gok Wan, everyone (well, who is considered normal) knows who he is, and has a great respect for his work. That's all!

trinbob1 - "Umm, nearly famous person who no-one has of or really cares about? Are you actually alive? This is Gok Wan, everyone (well, who is considered normal) knows who he is..." Well, ok, we know who he is...we just don't care.

trinbob1..... sorry still don't know who he is should really really stay in more and watch Channel 4 and judging from the picture of him I'm glad the Leader identified his gender....otherwise I might be in a lot of more trouble... does any bloke in Wrexham dress like that ?... not round Caia anyway

Oh, so you are a homophobe as well as ignorant, and probably a little unintelligent based on the area of Wrexham you have just referred to!

trinbob1...... so Caia Park houses only the unitelligent and hetrosexual ignoramus.... its the elitism of people such as this hitherto unknown celebrity that is most disgusting part of what is laughingly called the fashion industry... each year they show outlandish creations that nobody ..even movie stars will ever wear...Cont

take at look at the labels on most clothing sold in our shops and you may realise that they made in the sweat shops of Asia China and Africa..... yes trinbob1 even the designer label companies are at it.... and please don't insult my little bit of intelligence with your craven and belief that this so called Guru isn't in it for what he can get out of it

"probably a little unintelligent based on the area of Wrexham you have just referred to!" How can you possibly justify that remark? As a resident of Caia Park, I have come up against this stereotypical nonsense for most of my adult life. You will find amongst the bad, there are plenty of decent, honest, hard working and dare I say, intelligent people living here. I am sure you will find plenty of drug taking, unintelligent types living in the supposed "better" areas of Wrexham.
