FAMILIES are being invited to a series of fun-filled events at a shopping complex which will last through to next year.

Managers of the Coliseum Shopping Park, next to Cheshire Oaks, have planned a schedule of free seasonal events until Easter 2011, which kicks off with the World Cup Spectacular on the weekends of June 5 and 13. Activities range from face painting and a design-a-football-shirt workshop to working with professional freestylers.

The Cheshire Oaks Coliseum Shopping Park has also teamed up with regional charity Miles of Smiles, raising money with local legend John the Marathon Man on his treadmill.

Steve Ramsey, manager of Cheshire Oaks Coliseum Shopping Park, said: “We want this year to be one to remember at Cheshire Oaks Coliseum Shopping Park so we have organised some great activities for all the family and want to welcome everyone down to take part.”

The summer extravaganza starts on Saturday, July 31, culminating in a Back To School weekend on August 28, which will feature appearances by cast members of BBC hit drama Waterloo Road.

The Christmas festivities will feature a visit from Father Christmas, Christmas lights and a variety of giveaways. In spring 2011 the park will be transformed into an Easter festival with a petting zoo as well as egg decorating and the chance for a family of four to win a holiday to Benidorm.
