Charlotte Bradley meets 1966 World Cup legend Sir Geoff Hurst.

A CHESTER schoolgirl came face to face with England World Cup hero Sir Geoff Hurst at a special event.

Charlotte Bradley was one of a limited number of lucky football fans to enjoy an exclusive meet and greet with the 1966 World Cup legend at the new Kitbag World Cup store in Manchester.

As the country gears up for the world’s biggest football tournament, the Kitbag World Cup store on Market Street hosted a special visit from the living legend giving shoppers the once in a lifetime opportunity to chat to the famous striker who put three goals past West Germany to take England to World Cup victory in 1966.

The only player to have ever scored a hat-trick in a World Cup Final, Sir Geoff Hurst spent two hours at the store chatting to fans and signing, among other things, limited edition England merchandise only available from Kitbag.

Charlotte said: “It was amazing to meet Sir Geoff and have my England shirt signed by one of the 1966 team. I’m really looking forward to this year’s tournament, let’s hope the team can go all the way.”
