TEN Abergele Harriers joined a field of 227 runners in the annual 5k Race the Train from Dinas to Caernarfon.
Club captain Darren Blazier led the team home in 17.05 for 17th position. Less than a minute separated the next four men, with Pete Mould finishing 34th in 18:20.
Simon Grant was 47th after coming home in 18:40, Mark Mayers 49th in 18:41 and Keith Elliott 55th in 18:53.
The first lady Harrier home with an impressive run to finish in 22:04 for 110th position was Christine Birch.
Christine not only won the FV60 category but set a new course record for her age group taking 45 seconds off the previous record.
Alison Guillemin ran 26.31 for 190th just ahead of Dominique Jones running 27:25 for 198th.
Anwen Begley and Wendy Davies finished in 29:46 for 213th and 32:14 for 221st respectively, to round off a great team performance.
