ST ASAPH’S double Welsh champion Dylan Kerfoot-Robson is in confident mood as he targets a hat-trick this weekend.
The Rhos-On-Sea and Rhyl CC racer is looking forward to an attempt at a third national championship in the Dysynni CC circuit racing meeting on Saturday at Tywyn.
He will be in confident mood after a fighting performance in the UK national circuit race championships at Redbridge in London.
The U-14 cyclo-cross and MTB titles holder made a brave attempt to take an elite group of 20 survivors by surprise on the finishing hill at the end of the 20km race, but was caught 40 metres from the line and ended up a valiant fifth behind Louis Magnani of Hillingdon Slipstreamers.
In the U-10 event Sol Kerfoot-Robson got on the podium with third place in his age group race.

The combination of Denbigh rider Rhion Morgan and Rhuddlan’s Gerallt Allen (both Rhyl CC) proved the most effective on time with 25 minutes and 29 seconds for the ‘two-up’ nine-mile event.
On a handicap system based on previous quickest junior times, Rhyl CC’s Phil Price towed VC Melyd youngster Matthew Turner to victory, their 26-03 being over three minutes quicker than Turner had previously travelled the course on his own this season.
