CHESTER is set  to be catapulted into the limelight next month with the start of a major fashion festival.

Organisers are making the final preparations for this year’s Chester fashion Festival which starts on Monday September 13.

The event will kick off with a fashion show hosted by a Chester-based fashion store Fenn Wright Manson 1539 restaurant at Chester Racecourse at 11am.

Ladies who lunch will love this leisurely fashion show which takes place during the day and includes a delicious two course lunch in the modern surrounding of the award winning restaurant, which overlooks the famous Roodee.

A welcome drink at 11.30am will start the event and a fashion show will follow a two-course lunch.

Ladies will be modelling Fenn Wright Manson’s autumn winter collection brought straight to Chester from the international catwalks.

Also at the fashionable event will be a host of stalls selling accessories, bags and jewellery.

City centre co-ordinator, Stephen Wundke, said: “This is a fantastic way to kick start what we hope will be the very best fashion festival this city has ever seen. We have events for all tastes and ages hitting the streets including a fantastic fashion village, which will be taking place outside the Town Hall and a Young Designer competition, which will promote new talent within the industry.

“Throughout the two weeks there will be fashion shows taking place throughout Chester and fashion fans can visit our website to take advantage of all the fabulous Chester retail offers so that they can update their wardrobe and save money at the same time.”

Tickets for FMW at 1539 are priced at just £20, which includes a two course lunch and welcome drink. Tickets can be purchased via the Chester Fashion office, please call Rebecca on 01244 355474 or visit www.chesterfashion.com
