STAFF are celebrating after a Chester-based bank was shortlisted for a national award.
Bank of America Europe Card Services (ECS), in Chester Business Park, is vying for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) North West Pride Award.
The title recognises excellence in PR and communications in the region and Bank of America ECS has been shortlisted in the Corporate Responsibility category for its pioneering community programme.
Bank spokesman John Greaves said: “We are delighted that Europe Card Services has been recognised by the CIPR Awards for our wide-ranging community work.
“Over the past 18 months we have been involved in a number of community projects, fundraising initiatives and volunteering activities, including local projects such as Chestival and Rhino Mania. We’re proud of the work we do and our support of the community because we believe when our communities succeed, we succeed.”
There were more than 1,200 entries to the 2010 CIPR Awards and the winners from each region will be decided at an awards ceremony on November 24 at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate Hotel.
