A PIANIST stopped off at a Chester school to give music-lovers a top performance.
Concert musician John Gough, who is based in the city, made his third visit to The King’s School and, as part of the regular series of King’s School Chamber Music Concerts, presented a masterclass featuring two of the King’s School Piano Trios.
Works studied included the ‘Dumky’ Piano Trio by Antonin Dvorak (1st Movement) and Valse Russe by Frank Bridge.
In addition to the masterclass, the concert included solo performances from several of the school’s most advanced instrumentalists and vocalists, several of whom represent the school in both regional and national ensembles.
