LLANDUDNO residents with unusual illnesses will be featured on a Channel 4 programme this month.
Embarrassing Bodies visited the town last year as part of their national roadshow and set up their mobile clinic on the promenade.
Now the show is ready to be screened on Friday, February 25 at 9pm on Channel 4.
Talking after the filming, on-screen doctor Pixie McKenna confirmed the team was given a “very warm welcome” in Llandudno - despite the turbulent weather conditions - and confirmed the popularity of the show stemmed from people’s curiosity.
She said: “We are all intrinsically nosey. We give people a taste of sitting outside a doctors door. Also I think people are genuinely fascinated by the human body. How many people go on the Internet and look up things? We do have some very serious issues such as breast cancer which is important.”
Although Pixie wouldn't divulge any of the illnesses she came across in Llandudno, she was keen to stress local residents should always see their doctor if they are ever concerned.
She added: “I don’t want to bother my doctor. That’s what we hear all the time. Go and talk to your doctor. That’s what we’re all here for. The matter may be embarrassing, but in five minutes they can say if it is serious or not. Always ask for help.”
