HUNDREDS of proud fans attended a special awards dinner at Chester FC’s Exacta Stadium after the team lifted the league trophy.
The event included a guest appearance from TV and radio presenter Colin Murray and the successful Chester players who clinched the league title in the first year the phoenix club has been operating.
The club, run by the fans, was set up after the old Chester City was wound up over debts. Saturday’s event is just one of a number of celebrations planned and it is hoped the successful team will make a tour of the city in an open top bus.
