A DANISH team of investors could hold the key to saving Chester City, it has emerged.

The Chester projekt.dk consortium is poised to buy the club, owner Stephen Vaughan Junior revealed today.

Now it is hoped the deal will help the Blues avert the threat of expulsion from the Football Conference.

Some supporters, however, warned that the Danish group was not fully prepared for the demands of running the club.
